Settings & Locations

The film is set in Chicago, in 1997–98. The surrounding suburbs of the city’s Southwest Side, which have yet to be highlighted in a feature film, will play a prominent role in the telling of this story. Much of it takes place in Ken Ryan’s childhood home and the surrounding working-class neighborhood. This is in stark contrast to the scenes that take place in the city’s vibrant downtown.
