Opportunity

As our team continues to build on the momentum surrounding this project, the conversation about justice and standing up against discrimination in all its harmful forms grows louder across the country. This is our opportunity to make a real difference, using our creative talents and resources to help bring an end to the debate over gay marriage and achieve true equality for the LGBTQ+ community. We are reaching out to members of our community, our allies, and anyone passionate about civil rights to help bring Four Letter Word to life. It’s one of many steps we must take together to create a safer, happier, and more equal nation for all.

The project team has already undertaken a great deal of work to prepare the project for the next steps of development. In the summer of 2024 members of the group made a significant trip to Chicago, to conduct interviews with stakeholders who lived through the actual events that inspired the film, to location scout in the City of Chicago and its suburban surrounds, and to take preliminary meetings with the Illinois Film Office and the mayor of the Village of Chicago Ridge.

At this time, we are seeking funding, partnerships, and support to undertake the next steps of the project. For information on how to become involved, please click here.
